The Sky lark Once Again

As the stifled sheet
Trampled by termite’s feet
Fixing wings aghast
Over the scales lost
On the shores of Hell’s sweat stream
I get vexed and benumbed
By the bad bald dream.

In the distant piles of light
Building the nest just aright
Holding the fiery flesh
Of ruddy fire fruits afresh
That if revolve can catch hold
Of Nataraja’s feet in its fold
By the breeze in its posture of dance
I remain trapped in a trance of penance.

I become the first victim
When I imagine that I pluck
The free flower entangled and struck
In the tight malicious rays
Of the wasp’s nest that slays
And hides the hideous hole
Found on slavery’s door.

Till then in what was hitherto lost
I survived with comfort vast
And to draw eternity
In the new firmament
I slush the right colour and sigh
To raise the brush high
I become within my main
The sky lark once again.
