பங்குனியில் பாங்காய் ரசித்து மகிழ்வேனே - Acrostic poem

An acrostic is a poem or other form of writing in which the first letter, syllable or word of each line, paragraph or other recurring feature in the text spells out a word or a message.

சித்திரமாய் இங்கவளும் செம்மையொடு இன்முகத்தாள்
வைகாசியில் வாழ அவளிங்கு வந்துசேர்ந்தாள்!
ஆனிமாதம் என்னிதயம் பாங்காகத் தொட்டாளே
ஆடியிலே தாய்வீடு சென்றிருந்தே ஆனந்தம்
ஆவணியில் என்னை மகிழ்விக்க வருவாளோ!
புரட்டாசி யில்பொங்கல் வைத்து மகிழ்வோமே
ஐப்பசியில் பெய்யும் மழைக்கு இதமாக
கார்த்திகை மாத ஒளிதீப மாயிருந்து
மார்கழிக் குளிருக்கு மங்கையொரு போர்வையாக
தைமாசப் பொங்கலைச் சாக்காக இனிதாக்கி
மாசியில் மந்த மாருதம் தவழவே
